Nonlinear Advisors Launches, Consolidating Advisory Practice Under New Brand

NEW YORK, October 5, 2026. Nonlinear Advisors today announced its launch, bringing the fractional COO, CFO and advisory services provided since 2021 under a single brand. The firm serves high-growth companies in digital assets, decentralized finance, compliance, artificial intelligence, defense technology and life sciences.

With the launch, Nonlinear is adding a security practice. Its fractional CISO puts in place the defenses that keep a company safe, at a time when attackers have AI tools of their own. The practice also readies companies for SOC 2 and ISO 27001, answers investor and counterparty diligence, and advises on the governance of artificial intelligence across their operations.

The firm typically works with companies through a raise, a period of rapid growth or a first security audit, and remains engaged until the company hires a permanent executive. Its founding partners include a former official of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and a retired U.S. Coast Guard commander.

The launch coincides with a broader shift toward fractional leadership. The Financial Times, citing Revelio Labs data, reported last month that the fractional share of new executive postings has nearly tripled in five years.
